How to add text to your photos with the Markup editor Adding a little bit of text can be a really great way to edit without cluttering up your photo with additional bells and whistles. You can also change your font type and color to match the rest of the photo better. Open your photo editing program. How you open programs will depend on your operating system. Let's use white for the text we're going to enter. To set the font color go up to the Options bar and click the Font Color field.
